Sunday Igboho Demands Release of Ibarapa Youths, Threatens Mother of All Rally

Sayday Adeyemo a.k.a Igboho has appealed to the police in Oyo State to release some Yoruba youth arrested in Ibarapa area of the State.

Sunday warned that there would soon be a powerful rally to demand their release if the police failed to release the youths.

He stated this in Osogbo, the Osun State capital during a rally staged to demand for Yoruba self determination and creation of Oduduwa Nation.

He said it was high time Yoruba people went their separate ways, saying the unity of Nigeria as a country was no longer acceptable.

Igboho decried marginalisation of Yoruba people in the scheme of things in Nigeria just as he lamented spate of insecurity all over the southwest region.

He maintained that restructuring or any other solutions apart from self determination for the Yoruba would not solve the problem of Nigeria.

He told the crowd that no one could stop the agitation for the creation of Oduduwa Nation as the time has come for its actualization.

Adeyemo however commended the security personnel at the rally for conducting themselves peacefully without interfering with the rally.

He noted that the combined security forces were only on ground to ensure that there was orderliness and to forestall any forms of violence.

Adeyemo arrived Osogbo at about 1pm on Saturday in a very large convoy to identify with a group called Isokan Omo Yoruba which had early staged a rally across some strategic areas in Osogbo and concluded it at the popular Freedom Park.

Residents of Osun and others States as far as north central, particularly Kwara and Kogi joined the rally to identify with the agitators.
