2023: Group Appeals To Tinubu To Run Presidential Race

Some youths under the umbrella of the Asiwaju Vendors Initiative (AVI) have appealed to the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to contest in the 2023 presidential election.

The AVI is a Plug-in youth initiatives, advocating inclusive governance that will engender growth and development for the betterment of Nigeria citizen.

“We at Asiwaju Vendors Initiative, are using this opportunity to appeal to our principal Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to listen and heed to our call by participating in the party’s primary and ultimately become the flag bearer in the forthcoming presidential election.

“Not only the youth but all Nigerians have trust and belief in the capacity and capability of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. He’s prudent, intelligent and innovative politician. His records as a governor of Lagos State are there for everyone to see” the group stated.

In a statement signed and made available to Daily Mail in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, the founder and convener of AVI southwest, Comrade Adeola Kayode popularly known as Eldakay, said it became necessary for the group to plead with the former Lagos State government to accept the call in order to bring his wealth of experience on board to put the country on a sound footing.

Comrade Adeola noted that Asiwaju Tinubu is a symbol peace and harmony, adding that his leadership would bring about national integration as well as lasting solution to the insecurity plaguing the country.


Also, the coordinator of Ogun State AVI, Comrade Michael Pedro urged other youths to join hands with the group and participate in politics, asking them not to loose hope in the nation’s electioneering.

He commended the Ogun state Governor Dr Dapo abiodun, for the string of developmental initiatives towards youth development in the state.

The coordinating officer of the AVI, Osun State, Comrade Olasunkanmi Olaoye at a meeting Ile-ife, appreciated the State Governor Gboyega Oyetola for bringing dividends of democracy to people of the State.

At the meeting, the Ondo State coordinating officer, Mr Olaseinde Adedotun, Oyo State coordinator, Hon. Laide Omisore, and Lagos State coordinator, Comrade oloyede Lawal all agreed that Nigeria needs the service of Asiwaju Tinubu at the helm of affairs.

They said Asiwaju Tinubu had long before the return of democracy been putting his life on the line to change the narratives of Nigeria and must be support to actualise his dream of making the country great again.
