The Special Adviser to Governor Adeleke on Rural Water and Environmental Sanitation RUWESA,hon Lanre Odelade says, the decision to mark the day in a low key is realistic.

In a statement made available to newsmen today, the Special Adviser said Governor Ademola Adeleke is being sensitive to the harsh conditions of Nigerians whose living standard have been plummeted by severe economic policies of the federal government.

He commended the Osun state government for focusing on projects that directly address the fundamental needs of the people in terms of health care delivery, water supply and safe environment.

Hon Lanre Odelade reiterated the commitment of RUWESA to ensure the attainment of Government’s rural development policy through a comprehensive re- branding of the agency’s core Programs that soon will be ratified by Government.

While wishing Indigenes and residents of Osun state happy independence,he called for active mobilisation of the people in support of the five cardinal Programs of the Adeleke Administration
