Breaking: Governor Oyetola declares 72 hour amnesty period for hoodlums to return loots
Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has declared a 72 hour amnesty period for looters of individuals and private property to return their loots or face the consequence of the law.
The Governor who described the act as a pure case of armed robbery said the looters have the grace to deposit all they looted either at palaces of their traditional rulers or to the chairmen of their local government.
Oyetola was speaking during an assessment tour of some individuals and government property that were looted during ENDSARS protest which was highjacked by hoodlums in some parts of the State.
The Governor warned that any of the looters who fails to return the loots would be arrested and face wrath of the law.
“Those machines that were carted away have at Omoluabi Garment Factory have serial numbers and were all marked. There is no ways the looters can get away with them, they should retune them in their own interest, otherwise they will be made to face the full weight of the law”.
Oyetola took the advantage to thank President Muhammodu Buhari and the Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Buratai for prompt release of the army who have ensured that normalcy returns to the state and also made the curfew imposed to be effective.
