Prof. Siji Olamiju Akol, a former cabinet member in the Oyetola administration and prominent Osun APC leader, has dismissed the formation of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition as a futile endeavor.
He analysed “ADC’ as an Association of Disgruntled Country people, who ,in a sane clime, should engage in constructive criticisms to enhance national developments but chose to follow the voyage en route to political Perdition owing to malicious hatred and jealousy for the person of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement released to the press in Osogbo through his media aide, Mr. Temitope Adebayo, Olamiju described the coalition as a gathering of failed politicians seeking power for personal gain rather than Nigeria’s interest.
Olamiju criticized the calibre of individuals behind the coalition, stating that some are seeking a platform to cover up their failures and are “already missing the road.”
Prof Olamiju Akol who was candidate of All Progressives Congress at the House of Representatives in Oriade Obokun Federal Constituency emphasized the importance of a strong opposition in strengthening the ruling party but advised the ADC coalition to submit their ideas for national development to the presidency through the right channels.
Furthermore, he also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic policies, asserting that the President has set the country’s economy on the right track and that no opposition can distract from this progress.
Olamiju’s statement concluded by reiterating that the ADC coalition’s efforts are doomed to fail.
