Nigerians have been implored to learn from the lessons of Ramadan fast to promote peace, love and unity in the interest of the progress of the country.

The Asiwaju Musulumi Of Yoruba Land, Dr. Khamis Olatunde-Badmus made the call in his message to commemorate Eid Ul fitr with Muslims.

Asiwaju Olatunde-Badmus said the Ramadan fasting teaches Muslims to love fellow human beings, engage in self-denial and sacrifice, be kind and caring and dedicate themselves more to the worship of Allah adding that these values, if sincerely imbibed would promote love and unity in the country.

The business magnate advised the Federal Government to tackle the spate of insecurity in the country to make life, property and investment safe in every nook and cranny of Nigeria

He added that heavy investments in job creation would reduce criminal tendencies, poverty and frustration, particularly among the youth.

Dr Olatunde-Badmus said ” One way the Government can create jobs is to encourage the private sector to develop rapidly by introducing incentives that promote and protect investments.

The philanthropist added that government could create massive jobs by also encouraging investments in agriculture and Information and Communication Technology.

According to him, ” in age of electric cars and projections of future less demands for oil, Nigeria needs to diversify quickly to other possible ventures so as not to be caught napping “,he suggested.

He asked the federal government to urgently evolve ways to tackle the spate of insecurity, terrorism, kidnappings and banditry in the country adding that this has gone on for too long.
