Adedoyin, others’ trial: court adjourns to Tuesday
An Osun State High court sitting in Osogbo on Monday began the trial of murder case of Timothy Adegoke, an MBA student of Obafemi Awolowo university who was allegedly killed in Hilton Royal Hotel last November.
The trial commeced immediately after the presiding judge, Justice Adepele Ojo had declined the bail applications for Rahmon Adedoyin and six others who were arraigned on an eleven count charge bothering on murder, felony, conspiracy, perversion of justice among others.
Three witnesses were called to present both oral and written evidences which were admitted by the court.
The first witness called to present her evidence and later cross examined was a cousin to the deceased, one miss Adetola Adewoyin, a corps members serving with the Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke.
Adewoyin’s evidences were marked exhibits 1&3.
Second witness was the wife of the deceased, Bolatito Victoria Adegoke whose evidence after being admitted was marked exhibit 3.
The third person to be admitted in evidence after cross examination was an elder brother of the deceased, Olugbade Adegoke whose exhibits were marked 4 and 4a.
After admitting and marking all evidences as exhibits 1, 2, 3, 4 and 4a, Justice Ojo adjourned the case to tomorrow Tuesday, 8th of March, 2022 for continuation of the trial.
