The ancient town of Oyan in Odo-Otin, local government of Osun State, was agog as the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State turned the burial ceremony of Pa Philip Adebayo Balogun, father of Hon. Adebayo Temitope Balogun, into a carnival.
Hon. Adebayo Temitope Balogun, former personal assistant to the late Senator Ayo Fasanmi, was joined by dignitaries from Osun and Ekiti states, including APC Lead Afenifere Chieftains and, former cabinet members.
The burial ceremony, which took place at Onto Compound in Oyan, featured a church service with a sermon by Pastor Adeyemi, who reminded the congregation that God is the owner of every soul.
Notable Dignitaries at the event included Hon. Funke Egbemode, former Osun State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Prof. Siji Olamiju Akol, former APC candidate for the House of Representatives Obokun/Oriade federal constituency Osun state, Pa Shuaib Oyedokun who was represented by Hon. Prince Felix Ibitoye Kilomodemo, Hon prince Abdullah Adeyanju Binuyo, former Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola, who was represented by Hon. Tayo Adegoke (Tayo Ijabe).
Others were Hon. Felix Ibitoye, former Special Adviser to Governor Gboyega Oyetola on water and energy resources, Prince Art Lekan Usman Coordinator Afenifere Osun State Chapter, former Deputy Governor Osun Sooko Adeleke Adewoyin who was represented by Princess Bola Oguntade, Prince Iyiola, former council chairman of Odo-Otin North; Hon. Wasiu Ayodele, former chairman of Odo-Otin East, Odo-Otin Local Government APC Chairman Alhaji Asa, Hon. Kunle Orisagbemi APC Chairman Odo-Otin North, Hon Oluseyi Oke APC Chairman Candidate Odo-Otin Local Government all ward chairmen, Odo-Otin women leaders, APC EXCO members in Odo-Otin, Hon Olagun, Mr Afolabi Lawrence Kolawole represented AISOmifon and all the Odo-Otin councillors were all present.
Also, in attendance were Hon Bayo Aina, former commissioner for finance in Ekiti State and current National Secretary Afenifere/Yoruba Leaders of Thought, Hon Bayo Idowu former House of Assembly member Ekiti State and current Board Chairman center for citizens right Ekiti State, Hon.
