At last! Man Shot By Police In Osun Dies In Hospital

A commercial motorcycle passenger, Saheed Olabomi who was shot on Tuesday afternoon by an anti-riot police officer in Osogbo, has eventually died at the Osun State University teaching hospital where he was receiving treatment.

Olabomi was earlier rumoured to have died after he was hit by a stray bullet allegedly shot by the police officer to disperse people at a traffic scene around Oke-Onitea area, Osogbo.

The rumour death of the victim was was later cleared when he was said to have been receiving medical attention at the Intensive Care Unit, of the State University Teaching Hospital.

Public Relations officer of the Teaching Hospital, Ayodele Adeyemo confirmed the victim’s death to newsmen.

While maintaining that Saheed Olabomi was given adequate medical treatment before his demise, Adeyemo sympathised with the family of the deceased over the loss of their loved one.
