Chief Badmus: An Icon of Education And Leadership, Gone But Never Forgotten – By Fatai Kolawole

It is with a deep sense of loss and a heavy heart that I extend my profound condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, Chief Ajadi Badmus, His Royal Majesty, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, as well as to the members of the educational community, particularly the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), and the Ministry of Education (MOE), on the passing of an esteemed colleague and elder, Chief Ajadi Badmus.

As the Atorise Eto Eko of Osogbo, I had the distinct honor of working alongside Chief Ajadi Badmus, who was not only a passionate educationist but a dedicated servant to the development of our great state, Osun. Over the years, our paths crossed numerous times, and I witnessed firsthand his commitment to education and the advancement of knowledge, especially since the creation of Osun State. His efforts have left an indelible mark on the educational landscape and will continue to inspire future generations.

Chief Badmus was not only a pillar in the education sector. Together, the Badmus family has significantly contributed to the growth and development of Osogbo and beyond, both in the field of education and in business.

In this moment of grief, I join others in praying to Almighty Allah to grant Chief Badmus eternal rest in Aljanat Firdaus. May Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgive his shortcomings, expand his grave, and reward him with the highest levels of paradise.

To the bereaved family, His Royal Majesty the Ataoja of Osogbo, and the entire Osogbo community, I pray that Almighty Allah grants you the strength and fortitude to bear this great loss. The legacy of Chief Badmus will forever remain a beacon of light, guiding those in the field of education and beyond.

May Allah’s comfort and peace be upon you all during this difficult time.
