Court grants Exparte Motion Restraining Removal of Adogunodo as Osun PDP Chairman
An Osun State High Court sitting in Ikirun has granted an interim injunction restraining the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from removing Hon. Soji Adagunodo as chairman of the party in the state.
This is pending the determination of the motion on notice filed by the plaintiff.
Hon. Adagunodo had dragged the PDP to court for his removal as the chairman of the party in Osun State.
Also joined in the suit are the substantive chairman of the party, Hon. Sunday Bisi; former acting chairman of the party, hon. Akanfe Atidade and the Secretary of the party in the state, Prince Bola Ajao as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th respondents respectively.
In the suit marked Hik/25/2020 signed by the court registrar, Adesola R.A.T, the order also restrained the PDP from recognising any person as acting chairman or the 2nd respondent, Hon. Bisi as the substantive chairman of the party pending the determination of Motion on Notice.
The court also ordered that all previous actions taken against the plaintiff, Hon. Adogunodo be reversed by the defendants, the PDP and other respondents.
It also granted a mandatory injunction restoring and or recognising the plaintiff, Hon. Adogunodo as the substantive chairman of the party in the state.
The orders will last till Monday, 9th November, 2020 when the next motion on notice with be heard.
