DG BOSS Celebrates Oyetola’s Administration @3, Lists Monumental Achievements
The administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has been described as the best thing that happen to Osun State in terns of several monumental achievements recorded in just three years despite the teething problems and various challenges inherited at inception.
The Director General of the Bureau of Social Services, BOSS, Mr. Richard Tinubu made this disclosure while speaking with newsmen on the successes recorded by the State Government under the leadership of Oyetola.
Mr. Tinubu congratulated the people of the State for witnessing redefined governance in the areas of prudent management of resources as well as entrenchment of probity, accountability and transparency in the deployment of scarce resources to transform the society.
The DG BOSS listed Alekuwodo-Awosuru-Akinlade network of roads in Osogbo, Ede-Ara-Ejigbo Road, Mobil Petrol Station-Idi Oro-Court Junction roads in Ejigbo, Roundabout-Isare-Irojo-Sabo-Express Road in Ilesa, Ìgbájo-Ada, Kelebe-Iragbiji roads and the iconic Ola-Iya flyover that is ongoing as well as over seventy other roads spread across the three senatorial districts in Osun State as some of the road projects that have been executed by the Oyetola administration.
On health sector, Mr Tinubu said Osun has never had it so good like now considering the rehabilitation, upgrading and revitalization of 332 focal primary healthcare centres spread across each of the wards in the state and procurement of medical equipment, test kits, essential drugs and other medical consumables for distribution to health facilities across the state.
He listed other achievements in health sector to include accreditations of Nursing and Midwifery at the UNIOSUN College of Health Sciences, Asubiaro; Environmental Health Technology, Health Information Management and Dental Therapy programs at the College of Health Technology, Ilesa among others.
Mr. Tinubu identified establishment of CBT centres in each of the six zones for various examination purposes, abolishment of single school uniform policy, renovation of 30 High schools across the 30 Local Government Areas, construction of block wall fencing of 30 government elementary and middle schools to avoid encroachment as well as construction of 37 Blocks of 202 classrooms to accommodate 10,150 students as some of the phenomenal achievements of the administration of Governor Oyetola in education sector.
According to the DG BOSS, Governor Oyetola has empowered cassava, cotton, maize, cocoa and tomato farmers totalling 4,578 in the state with nothing less than ₦850 million naira with a view to promoting agriculture and guaranteeing food security in the state.
Mr. Tinubu Highlighted prompt payment of salaries and pensions, implementation of the new minimum wage and payment of over ₦200 million to families of deceased Public Servants who died in active service as some of the achievements of the Administrators on civil service matters.
While congratulating the governor on the 3rd Anniversary,
Mr. Richard Tinubu appealed to the people of the State to continue to support his administration so that he can complete the ongoing projects and consolidate the achievements by reelecting him come 2022 gubernatorial election.
