Eid-El-Fitir: Olujimi Congratulates Muslims, Laments Insecurity, Calls For Love, Selfless Service To Build A Virile Nation
The Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Sen. Biodun Olujimi has congratulated Muslims in Ekiti state and beyond for ending the Ramadan well.
Olujimi in her congratulatory message Called on Muslims in Nigeria at large to extend love to others and imbibe the act of selfless service to humanity during and after the Eid-El-Fitr festival, saying such would go a long way in making the world better.
“To all my Muslim brothers and sisters, I just want to use this opportunity to greet all of you that as we witnessed the end of Ramadan month and with all the lectures we have heard, we are doing this to be in tune with Allah and to be intandem with the kind of supplication that we want to give and we know 30 days out of 365 days are not enough to really show our total submission to Allah” . She said.
Olujimi also called on Muslim community nationwide to devote their time to praying for the unity of Nigeria, particularly in the face of current challenges posed by insecurity that threat the National unity.
The Senator who lamented the state of insecurity bedeviled the nation tasked the Federal Government and National Assembly on the need to tackle the resurgence of terrorism’ in the North East and also checkmate the activities of herders and farmers clash in the south.
“As Nigerians, we must continue to strengthen the spirit of oneness, regardless of religious, ethnic, regional, and political diversities, for that is the only way to surmount our daunting challenges and build a greater Nigeria”.
The Senator commended the Seventeen Governors of the Southern Nigeria for taken the bull by the horns to deliberate and fashion out way forward on the security matters threatened National unity and other matters at Asaba, the Delta State Capital on Tuesday, May the 11th 2021, while expressing the optimism that the meeting will bring needed solution to end the menace of insecurity in Nigeria.
She urged security agencies to change their tactics and approach, in order to protect the people and build confidence among the indigenes.
She Advised Muslims to celebrate moderately and ensure they observe the Covid-19 protocol to it’s fullness.
