Eid-el-fitr: Osun NUJ Urges Muslims To Promote Mutual Understanding, Peaceful Society

Muslim faithful have been admonished to make good use of the opportunity presented by Eid-el-Fitr celebration to reflect on the need to love one another and promote mutual understanding for a peaceful society.

Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Osun State Council, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu, in a message to congratulate Muslim Ummah on the completion of this year’s Ramadan fast noted that both Muslims and Christians should work together towards promoting inclusivity, build a more tolerant and egalitarian society.

In a statement released by Secretary of the Osun Council of NUJ, Comrade Adeyemi Aboderin enjoined Muslims to extend spiritual benefits of Ramadan, which are love, peace and justice to their daily living and through this contribute further to the development of humanity.

Comrade Ajadosu admonished practicing journalists in the state to harness their thoughts and energies towards building cordial relationship with adherents of various religions in order to sustain and enhance the fledging peaceful co-existence as the country prepares for a transition from one civilian administration to another.
