The Osun State President of Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Dr Nathaniel Ogungbangbe and and the members of his executive have felicitated with Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
In a release signed by the media aide to the president, Olumide Felix, the NULGE boss urged congratulated members who are Muslims, urging them to celebrate moderately during the festive period.
Dr Ogungbangbe urged Muslims to emulate Prophet Mohammed by imbibing the ideals of sacrifice exemplified by him.
He amplified the message of the Sallah which is sacrifice and commitment to God and humanity, noting that “as true adherents, we must imbibe the teachings of the celebration as no good things come without sacrifice.”
He said “on behalf of all of us in the exco, we congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters in all the local government areas of the state on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir”
“Eid-el-Kabir embodied love, peace and sacrifice beyond the season, and called for tolerance, synergy and cooperation among citizens for the nation to overcome its current challenges.
