The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly, Senator Babajide Omoworare has called on Nigerians to emulate the spirit of faith and sacrifice of Jesus Christ which is the fulcrum of Easter celebration.
Omoworare made this call in a statement issued in Ile-Ife to celebrate this years Easter. He emphasised the love of Jesus Christ for humanity and his sacrifice to save all while reposing confidence in God the Father who gave him the mandate.
Easter is a celebration of love, faith and sacrifice. As human, we are under obligation to emulate lessons from God for peace on earth and greater rewards beyond. That Jesus gave himself up for us with absolute trust in God is a big lesson we must allow to guide our conduct and relationship with one another. If love reigns, peace will prevail. Omoworare said.
The Senator equally lauded Governor Gboyega Oyetola for the recently launched monthly food support for thirty thousand households in Osun. He called on the people not to relent in their support and prayer for the APC and Governor Oyetola as he strive daily to move Osun forward.
“In the spirit of the season, may I explore this medium to appreciate Governor Gboyega Oyetola for the food support initiative for vulnerable households, this attests to the welfare priority of the Governor especially as COVID 19 ravages the globe” The Senator said.
“May l also call on all Nigerians to pray for safe and healthy return of President Muhammadu Buhari from his medical vacation. Governance is a collective responsibility, supporting the APC and President Buhari is important and must be seen as necessary”. He said.
