The Osun State police command has appealed to some irate youths protesting under the guise of #ENDSARS to be civil in handling the matter.

Some Youths in Osun state had embarked on disruption of public peace during an #ENDSARS protest in Osogbo, the state capital.

They also went to the State police command where they were throwing pebbles and other dangerous articles into the premises.

The irate youths were also alleged to have attacked some policeman on duties elsewhere in town.

During the protest, the youth joined their voices to the call on the inspector General of police to scrap the Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS to end the attack on young Nigerians

They threatened to continue the protest across cities until the IGP scraps or reforms the SARS.

Reacting, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola said the commissioner of police has complied with the order of Inspector General of Police by suspending operations of SARS.

She urged the youth to stop breakdown of law and order while they are free to stage peaceful protest as a matter of their fundamental right.
