Excuse Me, But Your Anti-Nigerian Bias is Showing! By Reno Omokiri

Time Out Magazine surveys 20,000 seasoned travellers who rated Lagos the 19th best city to visit. You, a Nigerian who benefits from this classification, rush to their handle to insult them.

FDC rates Nigeria’s capital market the best in the world, and you berate them.

Two days ago, our military killed tens of the gunmen that have been terrorising Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. Yet, there is total silence on the social and mainstream media. No celebration. No appreciation for the Nigerian Army. No pro-Nigerian sentiment of patriotism as the number one trend on X.

But assuming it was the reverse. Suppose gunmen had killed 30 innocent Nigerians. Would Arise Peoples Party downplay the news and make light of it? Would Peter Obi praise the Super Eagles today instead of tearing down the Tinubu administration and inciting Nigerians against their armed forces?

Lagos is cited as an emerging leader in health tourism, you hiss. But if Lagos was named the most unhealthy place on Earth, your criticism won’t miss!

The Dangote Refinery has begun production as promised and as scheduled. You are quiet. But when Arise Peoples Party and their fellow travellers undermined Port Harcourt and the Dangote Refinery, you climaxed as if you were in the other room.

For the first time in a long while, the Super Eagles and their coaches are on national assignment at AFCON without complaining of non-payment of allowances. And you can see how well they have been playing. Peter Obi, who did not say one word in commendation of Tinubu’s order to pay all outstanding allowances, is now attempting to take the credit through his posts on social media.

You spent over a year threatening my daughter and insulting Seyi Tinubu. But now that some news about someone’s child has come to light, you are RIGHTLY saying that it is not right to invade his private life. But when you did it to my then one-year-old daughter (for which I can NEVER forgive) and others, it felt right to you!

You spent weeks mocking the sudden spike in kidnappings in the FCT and blaming a particular region, but when the real culprit and his gang were arrested, you began crying and alleging ethnic profiling.

You supported Peter Obi when he called for transparency and accountability over the funding of Tinubu’s private trip to Paris. But, when I drew your attention to the fact that Peter Obi has not accounted for the donations he received from Nigerians during the last election, you insulted me.

Can’t you see that you have a very anti-Nigerian bias and are very attuned to believing negative things about Nigeria, even if they are lies? You tend to doubt positive information about your country, even when they are obviously true.
