Gov Oyetola Is A Man Of His Words – Osun Monarchs

Traditional rulers are not only custodians of culture and traditions but stakeholders in all things that are developmental to their domains .
Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State stated this during a courtesy call on him by representatives of Osun Council of Obas led by the Orangun of Oke Ola, Oba Adedokun Abolarin.

During the visit at the Banquet Hall of Government House, Okefia,Osogbo, Governor Oyetola said, as traditional rulers, they are also veritable link between the government and the people hence the need to hold them in high esteem.

The governor particularly acknowledged the support of traditional institution to his administration, stressing that it has been remarkably overwhelming.
Their support in this regard, according to the governor similarly assisted his government in achieving most of its electoral promises.

He promised not to let them down especially in the pursuit of his administrations developmental agenda for the people of the state.

On issue of security, he assured the traditional rulers that all efforts are being intensified to fish out some of the miscreants in the state, stressing that the peace being enjoyed by people in his state will not be allowed to be mortgaged.

Earlier, the state commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke,appreciated the monarchs for their unalloyed support to the present administration.

He equally assured them of the readiness of Oyetola led govervenment to make Osun the envy and pride of other states in Nigeria.

In their separate responses,the Orangun of Oke Ila,the Akire of Ikire Ile,the Alie of Ilie and the Owamiran of Esa Oke,eulogized the Governor for his unprecedented achievements in the last two years.

The royal fathers particularly acknowledged the growth and development also being witnessed in the state in the last two years.

While further assuring the governor of their total support and confidence in his leadership style, the Osun royal fathers urged the governor not to be distracted by anybody or institution in the annals of making a positive difference like no other for the people of the state of Osun.
