Baba Adinni of Osun State, Alhaji (Chief) Fatai Adesina Kolawole, has reminded Muslims across the nation of the duty to be patriotic and willing to promote the interests of Nigeria at all times.

In his message as Father of the Day at the celebration of Hijrah 1446 New Year, Alhaji Kolawole noted that we are in a time to pray to Allah to ease the economic hardships that Nigerians are suffering at the moment.
Baba Adinni said Muslims need to seek Allah’s guide for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his team, to be able to lead Nigerians to the path of good governance and enable them to bring swift ease.
He urged them to stand up for Islam in all circumstances, and be conscious of the fact that, “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything”
In his words, ”Let me start by wishing you all Happy Hijrah New Year 1446. May it be a year of increased divine grace for us all, as individuals, as families, as communities, as a State and as citizens of our dear country Nigeria.
”Let me also appreciate the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Ademola Jackson Adeleke, the Asiwaju of Ede, for recognising the Hijrah calendar and declaring the 1st of Muharram as a public holiday.
”The world is in troubled times. And there is no time than now to pray for the mercy of Allah. We beseech Almighty Allah to ease the fitnah of our people in Palestine, the Gaza Strip, and all the places in which Muslims are suffering tribulation. O Allah, ease their pains and rest their minds.
”This is also a time for praying to Allah to ease the economic hardship that Nigerians are suffering at the moment. We believe in the following assurance of the Qur’an, Chapter 94, Verses 5-6: fa inna ma’alusri yusraa; inna ma’alusri yusraa (‘So, surely with hardship comes ease. Surely, with hardship comes ease.’)
”Fellow members of our distinguished Ummah of rasulullah, as we commemorate this day which represents the divinely-directed movement away from a hostile environment, let us shun all acts of evil.
”Let us live in peace with our individual selves and with all with whom we have to associate at home, work place, at social cum political spaces and so on.
”Let our characters and behavior as ambassadors of Islam portrays us as pious Muslims.
