Imo Traditional Ruler To Confer CYMS DG Chieftaincy Title
The Eze of Ezihe Community, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, His Royal Highness Eze Ven D.C Ogamba will confer the Director-General of Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) Mr Obinna Nwaka with chieftaincy title ‘Chief Ome na Nwata 1’ on the 28th of December 2022.
The ceremony is bid to take place at the King’s palace by 12 noon with the presence of dignitaries, political leaders, friends and well wishers
The traditional ruler had revealed that the conferment is part of activities to commemorate his 94th birthday celebration and 11th year anniversary on the throne.
In his acceptance letter, the CYMS boss appreciated the traditional ruler and the people of Ezihe community for honouring him.
“As an illustrious son of the land who understands the values of culture and implications of rejecting offers from elders especially when offering a child a gift, it is in this premise among others having consulted my family, office and church, I hereby accept this offer in good faith with the name (Chief Ome na Nwata 1) as my chieftaincy title”, he said.
A source close to the Imo born young technocrat and youth leader, said among other support to youth development, encouragement and involvement in good governance, that the he (Obinna Nwaka) surprised everyone recently on the rural electrification project in some part of Ezihe community, which has been assessed and light powered by the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC).
According to him, the gesture is unprecedented and overwhelming and has earned him the recognition by the Eze and cabinet members for being a good ambassador.
