Increase your influence and happiness by replacing negative words with positive ones – Reno Omikiri

•Instead of problem, say challenge.
•Instead of mistake, use oversight.
•Instead of issue, say, hurdle.
•Instead of ‘I am confused’, ‘say I need clarity.’
•Instead of ‘I am broke, say ‘Be patient. I am expecting money.

Words affect whether you are eager about the future or anxious. Never underestimate the power of eliminating negative words from your vocabulary. Think about the words that you use. Some words are a trigger for negative thoughts and actions.

One such words is But. Instead of ‘but’, use and or however. ‘But’ is one of the most negative words in the English language

Even when expressing love to your family, still be conscious enough to use positive words. Avoid saying ‘I miss you’. It sounds positive, but it is actually a negative confession. The word ‘miss’ triggers negativity in the brain. Instead, say, ‘It feels good seeing you again’!

Your words even determine whether you leave people with a feeling of rejection, which makes them resent you. Learn the art of saying no with sensitivity.

The best way to say no without explaining yourself is to listen to people with empathy, and when they finish speaking, you simply say, ‘Not now. Perhaps later.’ No one can argue with that. No one can commit you based on that. If the person is stubborn and asks when, you just repeat the answer, ‘perhaps later’. Learning how to say no pleasantly is a skill you must master otherwise, you will waste your life on other people’s priorities and fail to fulfil your life’s mission. It is this type of soft power that water uses to break stones. Smile. Be pleasant. But do not shift your grounds. Meanwhile, you have said no without making an enemy
