There is palpable fear among Kano residents as the reinstated Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II and the dethroned Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, announced their plans to pray Jumaat prayers at the Palace Central Mosque.

This was announced in a statement by Danburan of Kano on Thursday evening.

The statement by Danburan of Kano invites residents to come and listen to the sermon to be delivered by Sanusi.

However, another statement from an aide of the deposed Emir, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero invited residents to join him at the Emir’s Palace Friday Mosque to observe the Juma’at prayer.

However, the police authorities are yet to comment on the development to prevent a breakdown of law and order.

Effort to contact the Public Relations Officer of the Kano Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna failed as his mobile phone number was not going through.
