NBA Osogbo Congratulates, Charges Maikyahu

The Osogbo branch of Nigeran Bar Association has charged the newly sworn – President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Yakubu Maikyau

SAN to roll up his sleeve and hit ground running in discharging his electoral to the bar so as to justify the trust invested in him by over twenty -two thousands members of the Association who elected him as the president.

This charge was made in a congratulatory message to the new President by NBA Osogbo branch, released in Osogbo yesterday and signed by the Chairman and Publicity Secretary of the branch Hassan Agbelekale, Esq and Dawood Ajetunmobi,Esq.

The release stated that as the 31st President of NBA, there is no gainsaying that learned Silk YC Makiayu has a burden of performance to discharge, most especially coming on the heels of the achievement recorded by the immediate past president, Mr Olumide Akpata. Therefore, history beckons on the new president to deliver on all his electoral promises so as to take the Bar to an enviable height.

‘’Your assumption of office comes at a time when our Association needs a purposeful leadership, a leader that will unite all, a leader that will give direction, a leader that will take care of welfare of his members, a leader that will take decision that stand the test of time on national issues.it is our humble wish that the Bar has found one in you”, the release added.

While rejoicing with the new President, Yakubu Maikyahu, SAN, other members of the Executive Council and General Council of the Bar on assumption of office, NBA Osogbo branch pray to almighty God to endow the new administration with Solomonic wisdom to enable them steer the ship of the Association to the shore of success by the time the new administration will be berthing in the next two years.

“While looking forward to a robust relationship between our branch and the new administration led by Mr YC Makyahu, we wish to assure Mr President of our continued support. Once again, Congratulation to our new President Mr YC Makyahu,’’
