The Baba Adinni of Osun State and Oluomo of Modakeke, Alhaji Dr. Abdulfatai Adesina Kolawole, JP, has urged Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, and collective responsibility as the nation steps into the New Year.
In his New Year message to the people of Modakeke, Osun State, and Nigerians at large, Kolawole described the New Year as a period of renewal and reflection, calling on citizens to strengthen their faith in God and renew their commitment to humanity and national development.
“The New Year offers us another opportunity to reaffirm our dedication to the ideals of peace, unity, and selfless service,.
“We must choose love over hatred, dialogue over division, and cooperation over conflict as we journey together into the future, he said.”
The Baba Adinni encouraged families and communities to remain resilient despite prevailing socio-economic challenges, stressing that sustainable progress could only be achieved through patience, hard work, and collective responsibility.
According to him, “The strength of any society lies in the willingness of its people to support one another, uplift the less privileged, and promote justice and fairness at all levels.”
Kolawole also offered prayers for leaders across all tiers of government, urging them to lead with wisdom, compassion, and accountability while prioritising policies that directly improve the welfare of citizens.
“Our leaders must be guided by wisdom and compassion, particularly in addressing critical areas such as education, security, and social development,” he stated.
He further called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and prayerful as the year unfolds, expressing optimism that with unity and shared purpose, the country would move closer to lasting peace and prosperity.
“As we move into the New Year, let us remain committed to building a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria where unity is cherished and opportunities abound for all,” Kolawole added.
He concluded by wishing Nigerians good health, peace, progress, and abundant blessings in the New Year.
