NUJ Lauds Ooni, Iyalaje Oodua on Exemplary Leadership

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zone B, has lauded the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi on his efforts at rendering selfless services to humanity as already being manifested in his various activities geared towards the development and growth of the Yoruba nation and Nigeria as a whole.

The Zone, while congratulating the Arole Oodua on his birthday noted in particular the various interventionist and mediatory roles being played by the Ooni in crucial matters that concern the security, development and well being of the South West Nigeria and other germane matters of national interests.

A statement signed by the newly elected Vice-President and Secretary of the NUJ Zone B, Comrade (Mrs.) Ronke Afebioye Samo and Abdulrazak Alege and made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti, disclosed that Ooni Ogunwusi has, since his enthronement as the Arole Oodua of the Yoruba race, remain a loving, caring, kind hearted and purposeful leader whose love for humanity has made him to continue to give his best in all ramifications.

The statement reads in part: “We use this medium to appreciate the father of the Yoruba race, His Imperial Majesty, Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ojaja 11 of Ile-Ife, for his immense love for all.

“The Ooni has remained a very humble, peace loving and development oriented leader of all the traditional rulers in the South West Nigeria. His great love for humanity has been manifested in his selfless service for many in terms of empowerment programmes and schemes solely sponsored by him.

“Oba Adeyeye has been a great inspiration to leaders across board and particularly to the Nigerian youths and the South West Nigerian youths in particular.

“Indeed, the Arole Oodua’s reign has brought tremendous development to his immediate environment, Ile-Ife and Osun State and this has spread to the Southwest where other leaders in are emulating his philanthropy and development oriented leadership.

“The Arole Oodua has become the cynosure of all eyes for impactful leadership and a huge pride of the Yoruba race through his humane leadership style which is worthy of emulation by all leaders desiring impactful leadership in their various capacities and domains”.

Comrade Samo equally luaded Princess (Dr) Toyin Kolade, who is the Iyalaje Oodua for her supportive role and exemplary leadership style in steering the ship of the market women in the South West Nigeria.

She noted in particular the Iyalaje’s immense support and encouragement to the Ooni in steering the traditional ship of the Yoruba race. She therefore, on behalf of the NUJ Zone B, expressed warm gratitude and appreciation to the Iyalaje in this respect.

Describing the Iyalaje as an exemplary leader, an Amazon and a great pride of the Yoruba race, Comrade Samo asures her of her support as the new Vice-President , NUJ zone B.

Comrade Samo also assured the Ooni of Ife of her immense support in her capacity as the Vice-President , NUJ Zone B.
