Odogbo-Ijesa To Enjoy Potable Water, as Osun Govt. Provides Motorised Borehole

Relief has finally come to the people of Odogbo -Ijesa, in Atakunmosa Local Government Area of Osun State as the State government inaugurated a motorized borehole for the usage of the ancient town.

Performing the official inauguration on behalf of the state government, the Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Honourable Ganiyu OlaOluwa, eulogised the unprecedented achievements of Governor Ademola Adeleke led administration in the state, noting emphatically that the Governor has written his name in gold.

According to him, “we are here today to let you know that the present administration feel your pain, most especially in the area of potable water which necessitated our coming here to eliminate your suffering”.

“I assure you all that the ancient city of Odogbo -Ijesa will continue to benefit from the good gestures of the present administration.

” I want to implore you all to imbibe the maintenance culture on this project because more are still coming”. stated Hon. Olaoluwa.

Earlier, the Monarch of the ancient town, His Royal Highness, Oba (Dr.) Olatunde Oginni, JP, the Olodogbo of Odogbo -Ijesa, applauded Governor Adeleke for his magnanimity towards the people of the town, saying he is a man of his words.

He maintained that the project of such magnitude has eluded the town for more than one hundred years existence of the town.

While also lamenting that the town has been in total darkness since its existence, coupled with no good access road that has been in deplorable condition since 1968, the monarch enjoined Governor Adeleke to come to their aid, adding that his town’s loyalty to the Governor’s administration is one hundred percent.

In attendance at the inauguration were the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on RARA, Hon. Ismaila Ademola,the ag.permanent of the ministry Mr Lateef Adedapo, management of the Ministry of Rural Development and Community Affairs, the PDP Chairman, Olorunda Local Government, Hon. Amzat Otitokoro, Resaoke Oye Community, Ilesa, Chief L.O. Gbawore as well as political functionaries.
