The construction of proposed Olaiya Flyover bridge will begin on Thursday, 18th February, 2021 and be completed in 9 months.

Osun State commissioner for works and transport, Remi Omowaye dropped the hint on Wednesday during the signing of Memorandum of Understand in Osogbo, the State capital.

Pending the period of completion, Omowaye said Olaiya junction would be blocked to fast-track construction of the project.

He said government has taken into consideration what the traffic around the area would look like, therefore urging road users to explore alternative routes within the city.

The project contractor, Mr. olanrewaju Adeleke assured that the company would strive to deliver the Flyover bridge, a month or before the specified completion period.

He said “Our organisation is Known for matching quality with speed and we are going to ensure that we deliver the project before the 9months”.

The contract which costs 2.7 billion naira excluding payable tax, was awarded to Messrs Peculiar Ultimate Concerns Ltd.
