…Founder condoles with victim families of Ibadan, Abuja, Anambra stampedes

A philanthropist and founder of Oluwaseun People Foundation, Pastor Oluwaseun Basil Alabi has again put smiles on the faces of the less privileged, the aged, Persons with Physical Disability (PWD) and widows in the Osun West Senatorial district of Osun State.

The Foundation, during the new year distributed various food items to over 17,000 beneficiaries across Iwo, Ede, Irewolwe and Isokan local government areas.

This is even as Pastor Alabi sent his condolences to the families of victims of stampedes which occurred at different times in Ibadan, Abuja and Anambra during distribution of palliative.

Speaking at one of the distribution centers in Ikoyi Osun State, the Deputy Coordinator, of the Foundation, Comrade Salensile Muideen said the founder was poised to continue to identify with the needy as giving support to the people has been a yearly event and would be perpetual.

“We started in Iwo and Ayedire two day ago, and yesterday we were in Ede to distribute palliative and today we are in Irewolwe federal constituency, we are in Ikowyi now and this is second place in Ikowyi, we are still going to Ikire, Apomu to distribute palliative to our people. This is not the first time and not going to be the last. To God be the glory, our principal pastor Oluwaseun Basil Alabi has been doing well, kudos to him.

“It has been a major step ahead for us, our people are very happy to receive us because it is very hard to give at this particular time of our economy in Nigeria. If you see someone giving at this time without being in a political position, he’s not a politician but just a philanthropist giving back to the society, it not easy at this time”, Comrade Salensile Stated.

Speaking on the how much impact the palliative would have on the beneficiaries, Secretary of the Foundation, Gboyega Bakare, said noted the less privileged were in need of support at the stage of Nigeria’s economic life.

Bakare said “We understand that no amount of food items giving to an individual will satisfy human want but at this moment when things are so expensive in this country, we are able to at least bring succour to the needy at this time. A bag contains a pack of rice, garri, noodles and other items. For a family of four or five, it will actually serve a meal per day. The purpose is to give succour to the people.

The Secretary thanked the founder of the Foundation, Pastor Oluwaseun Basil Alabi for giving the team the opportunity to serve the people in his philanthropic endeavours.

He said “This year’s event is significant as we shared the beneficiaries into clusters to avoid the unsavory events of stampede that happened in some places.

“We attended to our people in batches, gave them a tag and they were actually ushered in and gave them a bag containing various food items, after giving they are to sit down while other batch comes and they are actually organised in such a way that nobody is pushed or made to suffer.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Daily Mail appreciated the food support giving to them and prayed for Pastor Oluwaseun Basil Alabi for God keep him and bless him the more as he extends the hand of fellowship to people.
