OSSIEC Proposes Institute On Democratic Studies And Good Governance

The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, OSSIEC, has announced its plan to establish an institute for Democratic Studies And Good Governance.

OSSIEC Chairman, Barrister Hashim Abioye, disclosed this today (Monday) while meeting with selected online publishers in his office, in Osogbo.

Barrister Abioye said the institute would be known and called “Osun State Electoral And Democratic Studies”.

The OSSIEC Chairman explained further that, after the necessary paperworks and approval by appropriate authority, the proposed Electoral and Democratic Institute would be coordinated by the Osun Electoral body.

According to him, the institute would be serving as an centre, where political Office holders, most especially at the grassroots level, would be learning further on the ABC of good governance and delivery of dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
