Osun APC Deputy Chairman Congratulates Famodun As New Owa of Igbajo

The Osun State Deputy Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Sooko Tajudeen Lawal has congratulated former Chairman of the party, Prince Adegboyega Famodun on his appointment as the new Owa of Igbajo.

This was contained in a press release personally signed by the State Deputy Chairman of the APC and made available to Daily Mail in Osogbo.

Lawal who described Prince Famodun ”an every inch a leader”, also ongratulated the people of Igbajo home and abroad for having such a prince as a new king of the ancient town.

He expressed confidencewith that the town would continue to witness speedy growth and development during Famodun’s reign as Owa of the Igbajo.

He said the choice of Prince Famodun as new king was a well deserved and befitting step taken by the leaders of community to put round peg in a round hole.

Osun state government had on Monday, announced the appointment of Prince Famodun as the new Owa of Igbajo in Boluwaduro Local Government Area of the State.

His emergence followed majority votes in his favour in a meeting of Igbajo kingmakers.

Famodun’s appointment also followed legal clearance by the Ministry of Justice and approval by the governor, Adegboyega Oyetola

Recall that the seat of Igbajo became vacant on 22nd December 2020 when Oba Olufemi Fasade joined his ancestors.
