Osun Infrastructure: Oyetola approves grading of 345 rural roads
The Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON in Osun, Hon. Samuel Idowu Abiodun, on Tuesday disclosed that Association has received an approval from the State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola to embark on massive rural roads grading.
He said the approval has been given to grade over 345 rural roads across the 69 Local Government Areas, Local Council Development Areas, Area Councils, and Adminstrative Offices in the state.
Hon. Abiodun, in a statement, personally signed and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, stated that the Governor had given a nod to the grading of the rural roads as part of efforts to stimulate the grassroots economy and ease the transportation of men, material and goods from rural to urban centres.
He added that the 69 Local Government Chairmen, upon the directive of the Governor, have commenced the earth grading of the roads throughout their domains with immediate effect.
Abiodun informed that Governor Oyetola was more committed to adding value to the socioeconomic fortunes of the State vis-a-vis the welfare and general well-being of the people at the grassroots.
He further noted that the Osun-ALGON was committed to programmes and policies as well as the Development Agenda of Governor Oyetola as he remains committed towards building a virile State.
