OSUN LAUNCHES FREE MODIFIED INTEGRATED MEDICAL OUTREACH PROGRAMME

Osun State government through the Primary Health Care Development Board has launched free modified integrated medical outreach programme (FREE MI-MOP) make-up immunization for children that did not complete their immunization.
Chairman of the State Primary Healthcare Development Board, Honourable Ogunsola Oyeleke flagged off the programme on behalf of the State governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola.
Hon. Oyeleke commended the Governor for the giant stride in the State Health sector.
He said the Governor is currently reviving the health sector by rehabilitating 322 primary health Care centers across the State, one health Center per political ward, construction of 120 beded ward is also ongoing and 30 residential quarters for doctors in the State Specialist Hospital Osogbo.
He stated further that part of the strategies employed by Mr Governor is the provision of equipments and drugs worth millions of naira to hospitals.yes
The Executive Secretary Osun State Primary Health Care Development Board Dr. Oluwole Fabiyi applauds all health workers across the thirty (30) Local Governments in the State for their support too.
Dr. Fabiyi stated that health workers both in the State and Local Government should work together to compliments the effort of the Governor Gboyegba Oyetola to uplift Osun health sector to a global standard.
He said the outreach programme will hold in ten selected local governments Areas which includes Ayedade, Ayedire, Olaoluwa, Isokan, Irepodun, Boripe, Ife South, Iwo, Ede North and South for five days in three months,
He enjoined nursing mothers in the ten selected local governments to make sure their are children get vaccinated to prevent them from all contagious diseases.
He commends the Nation Healthcare Development Agency and their representatives in the State and other partners for their usual support.
