Osun NUJ Congratulates Governor Ademola Adeleke
Nigeria Union of Journalists,Osun State Council, has congratulated Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his inauguration as the sixth Executive governor of the state.
A statement by the Chairman of the Union, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu and the Secretary, Comrade Bukola Elufadejin urged the new governor to focus on people oriented programmes and policies that could change the fortune of the state.
The statement further called on governor Adeleke to bring to fore his age long experience in both private and public sector in the management of state resources to guarantee good governance for the citizenry.
It emphasized the need for the new governor to build a symbiotic relationship with the state workforce and labour unions in the state to pave way for industrial harmony.
The statement, therefore, restated that media as fourth estate of the realm remains a major pillar of democratic governance, hence, the need for journalists in the state to work with the new government to sustain its constitutional responsibility as watchdog of the society.
It expressed optimism that the new governor would put smile in the faces of citizens of the state through actualization of his five points agenda, as it prayed God to give Governor Adeleke the knowledge and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state to greater height.
