Osun NUJ Congratulates Newly Inaugurated National Assembly Members
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Osun State council has urged newly inaugurated 12 members of the 10th National Assembly from the state to working harmoniously at ensuring good representation and enactment of laws that will be of benefits to their constituents.
The NUJ in a congratulatory message signed by Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu and Adeyemi Aboderin, Chairman and Secretary respectively stressed the need for the lawmakers to see their elections as a call to duty in order to ensure better lives and quality service delivery for their people.
They noted that Osun state is in dire need of federal government presence hence the need for the lawmakers to collaborate with their colleagues from other regions at ensuring passage of bills that will usher in more development to the state.
The release reminded the lawmakers that their constituents are looking unto them to deliver on their electoral promises through sponsoring of bills that will be of benefits to them, urging them to put aside era of politicking and work for the common goal of the state.
Osun NUJ urged them all to bring to bear their wealth of experiences in further repositioning of the state in all the sectors by lobbying lawmakers from other regions in order to ensure speedy passage of their bills.
Noting that the people of the state have confidence in their ability to turn things around through the mandate given to them, want the state to witness more growth through their robust contributions and sponsoring of developmental bills on the floors of the Red and Green chambers of the National Assembly.
The release reminded the lawmakers that journalists in the state will not shirk in their responsibilities at beaming their searchlights on their activities from from now on till the next four years in order to provide the electorate with useful information about their individual efforts geared towards fulfilling the manifestos and the promise made to the people.
Osun NUJ therefore wishes the lawmakers the very best in their quest to join Governor Ademola Adeleke in moving the state forward.
