Osun Online News Publishers Inaugurate Guild, Appoint Abass Okandeji As Chairman

The Guild of Online News Publishers has been inaugurated in Osun State.
This is even as members of the guild appointed the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Daily Mail Nigeria, Abass Okandeji, Chairman while the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Happenings, Sikiru Obarayese was appointed Secretary.
This was contained in a release jointly signed by the newly appointed Chairman and Secretary of the Guild and made available to newsmen, on Friday, in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
The release noted that the inauguration of the Guild was to bring together on board all professional online news publishers with a view to engendering ethical practices and professionalism in the system.
It added that the Guild would provide a platform where members would work to preserve the traditions and standard of journalism practice and strict adherence to the Code of Ethics of the profession.
According to the release, other members of the Guild include Publishers of CityMirror News, Ayobami Agboola; Flashonnews, Niyi Folorunso; Amiloaded News, TimeNews, Rasheed Rasheed, Gbagede; as well as the Publisher of News Boom Nigeria among others.
