Osun PDP Governorship Primary: Awofadeju Congratulates Ademola Adeleke On Victory

A Don and member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Peter Awofadeju has congratulated Ademola Adeleke on his emergence as the candidate of the party in just concluded governorship primary in Osun State.

He also lauded the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC officials for the successful conduct of the exercise.

This was contained in a statement signed and personal delivered to Daily Mail by Awofadeju on Wednesday in Osogbo.

The statement however persuaded aggrieved members of the party to come together to work for the victory of the party in the main election come July 16, 2022.

His statement reads in part: “I write to congratulate our indefatigable Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke for the successful primary election which was supervised by National Working Committee (NWC) and monitored by INEC officials that produced you as the flagbearer for the party for year 2022 governorship election.

“I equally extend this congratulatory message to the entire People Democratic Party (PDP) family in Osun State and in the nation. This process shows that our party is taking over of the power back gradually from the state level first in July 16th, 2022 and which will be extended to the nation by 2023 general election.

“I wish to use this medium to persuade those that belong to the faction coordinated and supervised by acclaimed godfather that produce competitor and those aggrieved because of one thing or another to quickly have a change of mind and congratulate our amiable Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, the man of peace and join hands together to vote him in during the governorship election in Osun State.

“Nobody can claim godfather in this political dispensation, National Working Committee and masses decide who to represent them with the help of INEC as a body. For those who still subject themselves to be controlled politically because of one selfish thing or another should have a rethink and do the needful.

“I congratulate those loyal personalities who objectively worked tirelessly to make sure that Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke achieve this success. Persons like Dr. Deji Adeleke and loyal members of his family, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi OFR, Honorable Bamidele Salam, all faithful delegates and party members.”
