Governor of Osun, Adegboyega Oyetola, has congratulated one of the illustrious sons of the State and a thoroughbred Medical Practitioner, Senator Olu Alabi, on the occasion of his 78th birthday.
The Governor described the elderstateman as a distinguished citizen of the State whose love and passion for the socio-economic growth and development of Osun cannot be quantified.
Oyetola, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, acknowledged the elderly role of the Osogbo-born politician since the creation of the State.
Oyetola said the former lawmaker had distinguished himself as a detribalised Nigerian whose profession has been used to impact the people’s lives greatly and ensure safety whenever the need arises.
“I am pleased to join the people across the globe to congratulate and celebrate our reverred elder, Dr. Olu Alabi, on the occasion of his 78th birthday. This is another great thing in your life as you have distinguished yourself as a man of principle, honour and integrity.
“You are indeed one of our highly-respected elders and valued citizens whose circumstances of existence had helped to advance the course of humanity in all strata of life.
“It is on record that your significant role towards the creation of Osun from the Old Oyo State was a testament to the great things that our dear State is witnessing today.
“We are in no doubt that posterity would continue to be kind to you for your unwavering efforts to ensure all-round growth and development of the State.
“We thank God for the opportunity given to celebrate with you today, and we pray Him to continue to protect you and grant you good health, divine wisdom and guidance in all your sojourn on the planet earth.
“On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Osun, we say happy birthday to you as we wish you long life and prosperity”, he added.
