Pastor, Night Guard, Others Arrested With Human Parts In Osun
The Osun State Police command has arrested and paraded five persons in connection with killing of a young boy simply identified as Kehinde.
Among the suspect was a night guard, Adewumi Gbadamosi and a Pastor, Olagunju Adetunji, a resident of Kajola Village along Ilesa expressway
The prime suspect who claimed to be a night guard, Adewumi Gbadamosi said he shot the victim dead while he was trying scale fence at Fiwasaye Area in Osogbo.
“When I asked him to stop he refused and was trying to run away that was why I shot him dead. I didn’t know what will happen if I report to police. So I had to cut his body into pieces and dump it into river”, Gbadamosi spoke incoherently.
When quizzed further, Gbadamosi confessed that he severed the victims head and gave it to pastor Adetunji on request.
He also confessed to have given some flesh of the victim to one of the suspects, Akeem Saka who also confessed to the crime.
“I also gave some flesh to a friend of who is a vehicle electrician. I don’t have any need for the rest of the body, I just kept it in my office, at Kajola, where I attend to those seeking spiritual help.
Pastor, Olagunju Adetunji denied receiving any human head from the the prime suspect, saying they only met once he sought spiritual help until their arrest was made on Wednesday.
Parading the suspects, the Commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode said the suspects have confessed to the crime and would be prosecuted after due investigation.
The CP appealed to people to always provide useful and timely information that will help the police to nip in the bud as well as unravel criminal activities.
Some of the exhibits recovered by the police from the suspects included; two decomposing legs of the victim, two fried palms as well as different kinds of charms and fetish objects belonging to the self acclaimed pastor.
