Protesters Hit Street in Osun, Demand End To Hardship

…as economic activities are at the ebb despite peaceful nature

Groups of youths in Osun state joined the planned nationwide protest, calling on President Bola Tinubu to review the fuel subsidy removal and to further take urgent steps in addressing economic hardship facing the Nigerians.

The protesters who converged on popular Freedom Park, moved en mass across different locations and displaying different placards with various inscriptions to demand end to the hardship.

They vowed to continue the protest for ten days as planned but said may halt the demonstration in the coming days in
honour of the Osun Osogbo cultural festival celebrations.

The protesters said the their agitations are devoid of political or personal interest but the interest of the masses who constitute majority of those affected by economic crises.

While the protest remained peaceful, businesses and other activities were at the ebb as of the time of filing this report.
