Public Service Games is Living up to its Billing – Oyebade
The Osun State Head of Service, Dr. Olowogboyega Oyebade has commended the 2021 Osun Public Service Games committee headed by Auditor-General for Local Government, Mr. Emmanuel Kolapo for effective management of the competition which has reached the semi-final stage.
Speaking with newsmen on the level of organisation, the Dr. Oyebade who initiated the games some years ago to boost productivity and enhance healthy rivalry among public servants, described it as very encouraging.
Dr. Oyebade who lauded the spirit of sportsmanship demonstrated by the participating Ministries, Departments and Agencies, equally rated the officiating highly.
“I am impressed with the organization and planning put in place by the committee and the cooperation from all participating MDAs. This year’s edition was organised to mark the 3rd Anniversary of Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s administration and I want to assure you that winners in various games including Tables Tennis, Scrabble, Chess, Ayo, Draught and Football would be rewarded with fantastic prizes,” said the HOS.
Meanwhile, all the indoor games have been concluded while semi-finals of the football event will hold on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Osogbo City Stadium.
The OSBC/Information group will trade tackles with Auditor-General group in the first match while Sports Group engage the Teaching Hospital group to determine the two finalists.
Reports has it that the final of football event of 2021 Osun Public Service Games, slated for Friday, December 3, 2021 is most likely to be proceeded by a novelty match between Osun Executive Council and the Legislature.
