Rural Electrification: Osun Govt. Procures Power Transformers For Two Communities
…more communities to be lighted – P.S Rural Development assures
As part of efforts to take development round the nooks and crannies of Osun State, the present administration has procured two 500kva transformers for two communities.
The transformers were procured for Peace Community along Ede road in Ede North local government and Oke Eran community which also extends to Olorunsogo in Ilobu.
While on a personal inspection of the installation of the transformers, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development and Community Affairs, Mr. Richard Oyegbami said the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke is determined to light up every part of the State.
He said the Governor knows the importance of regular power supply to the growth of small businesses which according to him is the bedrock of any form of economic development.
The Permanent Secretary assured the communities to be rest assured that the installation will be completed before the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations as the Governor has mandated that the two communities must celebrate with electricity after many years in the dark.
While appealing to the two communities to take care of the transformers as their own property, the P.S assured other communities in need of transformers that they will surely get theirs soon.
In a reaction, the community leader of Oke Eran in Ilobu, Mr Olasupo Abd. Asisi, lamented that the community had been in total darkness for more than 8 years, while thanking Governor Ademola Adeleke for coming to their aid.
He said residents of the community will forever be grateful to the present administration, while assuring that they will continue to pay their taxes and other levies regularly.
I want to enjoin people of the state to continue give unfliching support for the present administration in the state.
