Security: Osun NUJ Assures Agencies Of Friendly Working Relationship

The Osun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists has assured security agencies in the state of continued friendly working relationship to ensure a crime free state.

Chairman of the Union,Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu gave the assurance when he led other members of his executive on a courtesy visits to the Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, Kehinde Longe and the Sector Commander, Federal Roads Safety Corps, Osun State, Henry Benamaise in their offices.

Receiving the executive committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in his office, CP Longe appreciated symbiotic relationship between journalists and police in the state.

He stressed the need to continue to work together to achieve the objective of a crime free society.

While assuring the NUJ of maximum support for journalists in the course of discharging their duties, the commissioner of police said his doors would always be open anytime.

Also welcoming the NUJ leadership to his office, the Sector Commander, Federal Roads Safety Corps, Osun State, Henry Benamaise stated that FRSC would continue to rely on journalists in the propagation of its activities in the areas of public awareness, sensitisation and education of roads users to reduce road carnage.

He promised to further cement the synergy between men of the pen profession and roads safety officials for the overall interest of the state.

Speaking during the visit, Comrade Ajadosu harped on the need for the two federal government agencies and media professionals to maintain a robust working relationship for a sane society.

He promised adequate coverage of activities of the agencies for effective performances.

The NUJ chairman was accompanied on the visit by Secretary of the union,Osun, Comrade Adeyemi Aboderin and other executive members.
