The Ikire residence of Ex-Osun Finance Commissioner, Mr Bola Oyebamiji was turned to a Mecca of some sort as the Ansar-U-deen Muslim Society, Irewole Chapter converged in their numbers for the annual prayers session for the Asiwaju of Ikire land.
The occasion which had a mammoth crowd of both old and young in attendance was also used to welcome Oyebamiji back home with an award of Meritorious Service after serving the State under the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
The Ansar-U-deen society and the crowd prayed for the continued growth and development of the Oyebamiji family, Ikire land and Osun State at large, while also seeking the face of Almighty Allah for Mr Gboyega Oyetola to reclaim his mandate.
Leading the prayer session, Chief Imam, Ansar-ud-deen society, Ikire, Alhaji Badmus Monsuru Adekunle urged the congregation to continue to pray for Mr Bola Oyebamiji whom he described as God sent to the entire federal constituency because he has touched the lives of both old and young positively for the past twenty five years.
According to the Chief Imam, “We must always pray for our leaders, we thank God for the life of the Balogun Musulumi of Irewole/Isokan/Ayedaade Federal Constituency. He is indeed God sent, for over twenty five years he has been a perfect example of how a blessed Muslim should be.
“His philanthropic heart is second to none because he is a selfless leader and a giver. It is our prayers that God continue to uplift him spiritually and physically, may God keep his family and continue to make him a shinning light in Ikire land and Osun State in general.
“We present the meritorious service award to him because he is an outstanding leader in public service, he has benefited Osun and Nigeria at large, his footsteps is definitely a light to the path of others to follow. For the past twenty five years, he has singlehandedly embarked on projects like building mosques, churches, sinking bore holes and providing electricity for communities in Ikire and environs”. The Cleric stated.
Other Islamic Clerics who spoke during the special prayer session described the renowned banker as a very kind man who has dedicated himself to the service of God and humanity in everything he does for the past decades.
Speaking shortly after the prayer session in his name, the Asiwaju of Ikire land, Mr Bola Oyebamiji thanked the clerics and the mammoth for their show of love and affection through the special prayer session which was brought to his domain.
He added that he sees the prayer session as a challenge for him to continue to present himself forward for the service of God and humanity with any given opportunity as he has always done for decades.
