…as rector, Dr ManYahaya acknowleges Hussain’s legacies, meritorious service
A former rector of the federal polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, Bldr. Patrick Mosisyenemo Hussaini has been exhausted for unwavering commitment and dedication to public service and humanity throughout his service years.
Bldr. Hussaini who recently bowed out of service was on Wednesday celebrated at the Pastoral Center, Ede by Committee of Friends, Federal Polytechnic, Ede.
The event which attracted family, friends, association, mentees, the people of Kogi community as well as the representatives of the Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, turned to a time of showering of encomium on the celebrator having impacted positively on virtually every individual whose paths had cross with the former rector.
Speaking, the Rector, Federal polytechnic, Ede, Dr. Sani ManYahaya who was represented by the Director, office of the Recror, Dr. Taliat Yusuf acknowledged the good legacies and the visionary leadership of Bldr. Hussaini and other predecessors to the polytechnic.
Dr. ManYahaya said the management recognises the former rector as a source of advice and assistance when they are needed to move the polytechnic forward.
The polytechnic former Registrar and ally of Bldr. Hussaini, Dr. Ogunleye described the former rector humble and benevolent as he wished that God create more opportunities for him to help humanity the more.
Dr Ogunleye said, “he (Hussaini) is humble, honest, upright damn too helpful and benevolent, there is nothing he cannot give out. Throughout his tenure as rector, he never awarded any contract, he was buying directly from companies.
“He’s highly incorruptible. My wish for him is that God create more opportunities for him to help humanity because all he does is helping people. The country need a very selfless individuals like him.”
In a tribute rendered on behalf of committee of friends by Barr. Samuel Oni, Bldr. Patrick Mosisyenemo Hussaini was said to have been “an exemplary leader, mentor, human developer and man of vision”.
He was also said to be a bridge builder, motivator, and destiny helper whose door never closes for offering guidance, support and encouragement to colleagues and inspire future generations.
Those who also took turn to render tribute included Dr. Kazeem Atoba, Barr. A. B oladimeji, Barr. Poju Adeyombo, Dr. Israel Akinjogbin, Dr. T. T. Lawal, Dr. Tony Ankeli Ikpeme among others.
The Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal was represented at the occasion by Mogaji Demola Olapade and High Chief Abdulwakeel Adegbenro.
The event witnessed cultural performances, cutting of cake and presentation of gift by a group of Hussain’s mentees as a token of appreciation.
