Woman In Police Net For Killing Stepson In Osun
The police in Osun State have arrested and paraded a 24-year-old housewife resident in Ede, Mariam Musa, for killing her stepson.
Marriam was paraded alongside 12 other suspected criminals at the Osun State Police Headquarters on Tuesday shortly after the newly posted commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode addressed journalists in the State.
Confessing to the crime, Marriam told Daily Mail that she killed her stepson because her husband cared more for the boy’s mother.
The suspect said the three-year-old boy, Rokeeb, left his mother and came to her room to ask for water on the she killed him.
“I killed him (the stepson) because my husband was taking care of his mother to my own detriment.
“He came to my room to ask for water. I mixed the water with insecticide and gave him (victim) to drink. He was later rushed to the hospital where he later gave up the ghost”, Marriam said.
