Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke (Banik) has congratulated Christians on the celebration of Christmas 2021.

In his congratulatory message, Adeleke described Christmas as a period of showing love to one another and sacrifice as demonstrated by the birth Jesus Christ.

According to him, the lessons in the birth of Jesus were love and sacrifice which should be displayed by all in the spirit of the season.

He said one of the ways to show love is to give to the needy, particularly orphans for them to also feel complete as human beings and as well give back to the society.

Banik also urged Christians to use the opportunity of the Christmas to pray for the state, the government and the Governor, Gboyega Oyetola to successfully steer the ship of the state to a promise land.

He acknowledged the manifestation of love of Osun people to one another, through peaceful coexistence which has directly or indirectly transformed to the success recorded by Oyetola’s administration so far.

The Commissioner stressed that in any atmosphere where there is no peace, it would be difficult for the government to make any positive impact as against the successes recorded in Osun.

He assured that as always done, Governor Oyetola administration has resolved not to relent in its effort at making Osun the most peaceful and loving state to live in.
