Youth Development: ‘Our Dream And Ambition Is Tall’ – Ooni Ogunwusi Assures Young Nigerian Entrepreneurs
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has again pledged continued support for Nigerian youths in the areas of engagement, empowerment and development.
He made the avowed commitment in his palace in Ile-ife while playing host to twenty three awardees and nominees of the Federal Government who engage in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSME.
The eleven awardees and twelve nominees of young Nigerian entrepreneurs who were drawn from all States of the southwest by the Federal Government were in the place to be celebrated by the Ooni
The monarch who described the young Nigerians in the MSME as the heartbeat of the country stated that it was high time they were celebrated to the whole world as this will encourage other youths.
He lauded the Federal Government’s initiative just has he promised to partner with the young entrepreneurs in their respective endeavours.
“We have to celebrate these young Nigerians. I will partner with you as I always do. There so many of your likes that I m partnering with. You are my associates, my companions and I m more comfortable working with the youth.
“That’s the only thing that give me joy – it is my oxygen. I find joy in assisting young Nigerians. I want to meet more of young entrepreneur Nigerians. For each of you that are here today, both the awardees and nominees, I m giving you N100,000 each. All of the eleven awardees will be given a brand new laptop.
“We know there are problems in the country but we need to focus on celebrating young Nigerians who are doing fine in their chosen career. That is why I like what the federal government is doing on MSME” Ooni stated.
Guest Speaker at the event, Felicia Folarin told the young Nigeria entrepreneurs to never limit themselves, adding that they never could tell where their respective works would take them in life.
She lauded their creativity as well as encouraged them to be steadfast in what they are doing as it will pay off in the long run.
