2023 World Ifa Festival: Ile-Ife Agog As Ooni, Traditional Worshippers Observe New Year Crossover Night

 

….Oracle’s prophetic revelations emphasise citizens, leaders’ cooperation and support

For the society and the nation to witness the desired progress and development, the citizens must be supportive and cooperate with the government.

This was the fulcrum of prophetic revelations of Ifa Oracle at the annual Ifa-Agbaye (world Ifa) festival held at the weekend in Ile-Ife, the source of Yoruba race.

International and local worshippers of lfa and traditional religion converged on the ancient city in Osun state to celebrate the grand finale of this year’s world ifa day.

The world Ifa day is a festival observed every first of June as a traditional religious pilgrimage to ancient city of ile-ife to usher in a new year for the adherents of traditional religion and Ifa worshippers across the globe.

The eve of the ocassion features spiritual consultations; prayers and supplications; paying obeisance and propitiation to the gods and deities, as well as prophetic revelations on various issues

One of the core messages of this year’s Ifa festival was for citizens to cooperate and remain supportive towards ensuring success of policies and initiatives of government for the overall benefits of all regardless of religious or ethnic background

Speaking, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi urged all and sundry to adhere to the messages from the Ifa Oracle just as he admonished citizens to support government at all levels in their bid to bring succour to all Nigerians.

The Araba Agbaye worldwide, Aworeni Awodotun canvassed for more government’s promotion of traditional religion and indigenous languages including commitment to preservation of cultural heritage.

The Osun State Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi harped on the need for mutual commitment to religious tolerance among adherents of different faiths.

Ifa worshippers from different States including those from overseas, foreign tourists, cultural enthusiasts were among those that graced the grand finale of the ocassion
