Osun To Provide Free Train Ride

Osun State Government has put in place necessary measures to make this year’s Christmas and New year yuletide convenient for Osun indigenes coming to the State for the celebration.

Against this backdrop, government would provide free rail service for people travelling for Christmas and new year’s celebrations.

This is contained in a press release signed by the Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment,Dr. Bode Olaonipekun.

According to the release, for those coming to Oaun for Christmas celebration, the free train ride would depart Iddo railway terminus in Lagos on Thursday, 24th December, 2020 while New year free train ride would depart Iddo terminus on Wednesday,30th December,2020 by 10.00am respectively.

The Commissioner stated that the free train ride would return to Lagos on Saturday, 2nd January, 2021 from Osogbo railway terminus to Iddo by 10.00am and 2.00pm.

He urged all Osun Indigenes to avail themselves of the free rail service and strictly observe the Covid-19 protocols.
